How much does fleet washing cost? Published 2026 prices per truck

Fleet managers ask it before they call. New wash owners ask it before they quote. Here are the prices operators publish, and why they differ.

Published 2026 rates for mobile fleet washing mostly fall between $35 and $75 per truck for a regular exterior wash. Cars, vans and pickups run about $18 to $60, trailers $45 to $60, and heavy or very dirty units $54 to $150. Weekly service costs less per wash than monthly. Below are the price lists we found, who published them, and what moves a quote up or down.

These are other companies’ published prices. Rates depend on the region and the fleet. Use them to judge a quote, and get your own.

Published prices by unit type

The most detailed list we found is from Britewash, a fleet washer in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. It posts 2026 rates by unit type and by how often it washes.

Unit (Britewash, 2026)WeeklyMonthly
Car, van or pickup$18–$23$20–$25
Straight truck$40–$44$44–$49
Trailer$45–$50$50–$55
Heavy duty (gravel, tanker, trash, dump)$54–$59$60–$65
Trailer washout$29–$34$32–$38

It lists an undercarriage flush at $18 a unit. Its Massachusetts prices run a few dollars higher, with tractor trailers at $55 to $60 on a monthly schedule.

Two more operators publish ranges with less detail.

UnitPer wash
Sedans and company cars, Phoenix$35–$50
Cargo vans and pickups, Phoenix$40–$60
Box trucks, Phoenix$50–$90
Semi trucks and trailers, Phoenix$60–$150
Tractor trailers and box trucks, Atlanta$35–$75

The Phoenix figures are from South Mountain Auto Detail and the Atlanta figure is from PBD Pressure Washing, both from 2026 and both for exterior washes on a regular schedule. PBD says larger or heavily soiled vehicles can reach $150.

What a fleet pays per month

Twenty trucks washed every two weeks is 520 washes a year, or about 43 a month. At $35 to $75 a wash that’s roughly $1,500 to $3,250 a month. PBD’s own example for the same fleet comes to $1,400 to $3,000.

What moves the price

  • How often. A truck washed last week takes less work than one washed last month. Britewash says going from monthly to weekly can cut the per-truck price by 5 to 15%. South Mountain quotes 10 to 25% off for weekly and biweekly contracts.
  • How many. More units at one stop spreads the drive and the setup. Britewash’s volume discounts are often 3 to 7% for 25 to 50 trucks and 8 to 15% for more than 50.
  • What it is. A dump truck or a trash truck costs more than a box truck.
  • How dirty. A fleet that hasn’t been washed in a long time may get a one-time price for the first wash before the regular rate starts.
  • Add-ons. Undercarriage flushes, trailer washouts, aluminum brightening and cab interiors are often priced on top.
  • Wash water recovery. Where the city requires the water to be collected, it adds equipment and time. Britewash says it can affect the price. We cover the rules in where wash water can legally go.
  • A visit minimum. A stop with two trucks in still costs the drive. One operator on a trade forum had a $90 minimum for small fleets in 2019.

Mobile washing or a truck wash

The other choice is a drive-through truck wash. One 2026 guide for drivers puts an automated exterior wash for a tractor-trailer at $50 to $100, and a hand wash or detail at $100 to $300 and up. The wash price is only part of the cost. A driver has to take the truck there, wait, and bring it back, and that’s paid time and fuel. An operator on a trade forum who charged $100 for a truck and trailer in 2014 said that was why his two fleets signed.

How prices have moved

A price survey reposted on the Pressure Washing Resource forum in 2013 put most vendors at $15 to $22 a piece and the cheapest at $4 to $10. An operator there quoted $10 to $15 a truck and $20 to $25 a trailer, and said he didn’t care for the margin. Prices have come a long way since, and the low end of a range isn’t always a price somebody can live on.

If you’re the one quoting

Don’t build your price from these tables. They show what three operators charge in three regions. Your price has to cover your own minutes, labor and truck. Work it out with how to price fleet washing per unit, then use the published rates as a check.

Common questions

About $35 to $75 per truck for a standard exterior wash on a regular schedule, going by the prices operators published in 2026. Small vehicles cost less. Heavy or very dirty units cost more.
